This artwork combines pastel chalk and acrylic paint on unprimed, raw canvas, many of which   are large, unstretched and designed to hang like scrolls-- sometimes painted on both sides of the canvas.

There is play with canvas and silk collage, ripped and torn, adding to the uneven textures of the paint.

Images combine abstract memories of people and places, as if one could paint the feeling

of a breeze or breathe or the sound of running water or the fragrance of flowers...

Ambiguous meanings, the movement from one thought to the next.

A final series of nonobjective works are painted on deckled paper.
